  as crass as it is...opinions do matter...the populus by in large elects our leaders on likeability and the illusion that things can change...but the reality is that we...as the people dont really have a say...b/c of many factors...cnn debates or any public debate is a joke at this point....our country has too many interests to accomodate us all...and thats why lobbyists and corporations rule this country and the world...this is nothing new...our gov appeals to corporations b/c they have the funding to put them in office...corporations dont do this from a heart-felt need to provide for the people...if anything they have contempt for the ppl...they do it to dominate...we as americans cannot get it thru our head...as powerful as we are...we dont have the same intensity as a government like china...this is the path we are on as americans...and until we cant get gas, food and have sex on a willing basis...it will continue...not to be dramatic but america is falling.
