  "Pancakes:
  
  Separate three eggs.
  Beat Yolks
  Add 1 cup of flour
  1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  A pinch of salt
  A teaspoon of sugar
  A tablespoon of melted butter (not too hot)
  A scant cup of milk
  Mix very gently so the flour doesn't get tough
  Fold in beaten egg whites (half reasonably well, the second half lightly)
  Cook (put a bit of butter in a frying pan. It should be fairly hot so butter
  slightly sizzles. Wipe it out with paper towel. Do this between each batch.
  
  Eat and eat."
