"MINDEFECT"

Defect [v. di-fekt] to desert a cause, country, etc., esp. in order to adopt another (often fol. by from or to): He defected from the U.S.S.R to the West.

Still in the initial songwriting stage, the Mindefect combines elements that span decades of musical influences. Mindefect is everything from the arena to the garage, aggressive to progressive, funky and dirty bluesy, sleazy, sensual and emotional (not emo), trashy and refined, energetic and jaded with hooks, headaches, harmonies, hairpin turns, hammering rhythm, and most importantly, soul without pretense.

Mindefect is in its most liquid form right now, without one particular sound to call its own. The band has over an album's worth of finished material, with their debut album due out Fall of 2007.

If you're content in your mindframe, one of those who likes things to stay just the way they are, one who likes things watered down and familiar to the palette, then you'd better get back on MTV's website immediately for the next meal of whatever they've been feeding you.
