    struggle for democracy in ethiopia

    Dear Berhanu,
Nice to see your picture since I haven't seen you for a long time (almost 30 years). The last time I saw you was in Tigray as an EPRP member. You haven't changed at all. The same old you just thinking always power. It is ironic that when you mention about TPLF ideology association with the Albania communist government. What ideology was EPRP was selling? I thought your part of that mess so do I.
Your were in EPRP jail for a while because of your mouth not your ideology. You are doing the same thing again.
STOP! let other people take over the struggle for democracy. But not you!
    From your old friend.

struggle for democracy in ethiopia: Dr Berhanu Nega

    Dear Dr Berhanu Nega,
it is a great blessing to have persons like you in current ethiopian politics.
The democratization process has to continue, both in the country and within the CUD party.
We want to see transparent and fully democratic culture in the party itself.
I wish more women, more people with knowledge and energy to come to the leadership. I thank Prof Mesfin who avoided leadership as he is now 76.

I am one of the million Ethiopian who believes the imprisonment of you and your friends are unjust and political motivated…purely shows us still Ethiopia is govern under one man doctorial ship. However, what you guys paid will never and ever scratched from our mind forever.

I have few questions if you in case read them or forward it by the moderator to you…

    1. Do you really expect in your wildest dream TPLF would leave or ready to give up power if they loss the election before you get in to the election?
    2. What were you guys not seen just before election and right after the election but now when you go back and see/visit the election time something you should have fix or something you think it was a mistake that you guys should not do?
    3. Do you think the outcome will be deferent if you guys were joining the parliament?
    4. Do you believe there will be true democratic election in the near

Why CUD did not Join Parliament in 2005

Good evening Dr Berhanu. I am a great fan of you and the policies that you stand for. Being a student at the University of Michigan and also being an Ethiopian American, I follow closely what is happening in Ethiopia. My question is :Before you and the CUD leaders where thrown in jail, the top leaders of CUD, including yourselve, had a meeting where 55% of the top leadership decided to join and fight from within parliament. If over 55% decided to join, why did the leadership of CUD decide not to join parliment and fight from within. From what i gathered, some top leadership member decided to change the rules of the game and stated that it know would take 66% of a "YES" vote to join parliment. Is that true, if so, why change the rules in the middle of the game. Thank you Dr. Please keep fighting for TRUE DEMOCRACY in ETHIOPIA. You are the type of leader that Ethiopia needs.
